Original hand-carved, hand-printed Relief Print

Limited Edition of 20 prints. Each print is signed and numbered.
This image was drawn onto and carved into linoleum using hand tools. In a reduction print, each colour is carved out of the plate and then printed. The next colour is then cut out of the same plate and printed over top of the first colour. The plate is "reduced" with each layer printed.
This print was made by printing 6 layers of coloured ink with two separate printing plates, one layer at a time. The first four layers created the background trees and water. The last two layers created the Birch tree.
This print was printed by hand with the help of my trusty wooden spoon, using oil-based printmaking ink on Stonehenge Archival paper.
